First, we have to collect all the data we need for the process. That means x-rays, an internal (also called intra-oral) scan of the mouth, and taking photos and videos of your smile. We use a mouth scanner to take detailed digital impressions of your teeth, instead of using the traditional cold and unpleasant paste to bite into. We have a state-of-the-art photo studio in our office, so we can take facial pictures of our patients. Using advanced software, we create a 2D simulation of how a patient’s new smile could look. This is then used to create a 3D model of your smile. We use all this information to create an accurate and fully customized smile design project to suit every patient’s unique features and we test-drive your smile before we get started.
